By Bus and By Boat
The best way to arrive and leave from Tortuguero is to take a bus at the Atlántico Norte de San José Terminal traveling to Cariari costs 2,5 US$, 2 hours. From there you will need to take La Geest bus, 1.5 US$, a 90 minute journey, you will arrived at a banana plantation in the Rió suerte or Caño Suerte, where you will find passenger boats to take you to Tortuguero for 10 US$ per person.
