12 Km from Puerto Viejo, located in the Gandoca Manzanillo refuge for Forest Wildlife, it was chosen by (MINAE) in 1995. The road continues 1 Km and then disappears where footpaths will take you along the coast towards the refuge. The Costa Rican Ministry of Natural Resources has an office in the village, in a green building that is a few hundred meters from the school, where you will find information about the refuge. Next to the Police there is a camping area with shower and at the other extreme there is an office for the local guides GUIASMANT, there is a small park at this beach, public telephones, and a lit football pitch. In the Mas X Menos supermarket there are two billiard tables and a public telephone.

Transportes Mepe Buses Ph (506) 2257-8129 San José Office, Ph (506) 2750-0023, Puerto Viejo Office, Ph (506) 2758-1572, Limón Office, costs 5 US$, lasting five hours. The buses from Limón to Manzanillo depart at 06:00 a.m, 10:30 a.m, 03:00 p.m and 06.00 p.m. Pass by Cahuita and Puerto Viejo it is a 2 ½ hour journey. Returning from Manzanillo to Limón 05:30 a.m, 08:15 a.m and 12:45 p.m and 05:00 p.m.
