7) LANGOSTA RIVERMOUTH:
This is an A-frame wave that breaks over a flat rock bottom. Both waves are very good, however the left is a little longer and hollow. With big swells this wave could get up to 12 feet and breaks way outside. Access: By land. Tide: Medium and up coming. Swells: North and northwest. Bottom: Rocks. Feet: 2 to 12. Season: December to March. Stars: 3.
How to get Here?
Three kilometers south of Tamarindo. It is a long walk around the point to the south of Tamarindo Bay, or a short walk driving outside the town, to 5 minutes. Beach Langosta is an exotic sand beach and is one of the most popular destinations. A mostly rocky shoreline with small pockets of sandy beach is definitely worth visiting especially if happen to be in the Tamarindo area. A great beach for a quiet stroll, at its southern end sits near the mouth of the Estuary and has an excellent surf break here, attracting surfers from Tamarindo. There is a bus service from Playa Tamarindo to Langosta Beach
