Located 25 km from Playa Naranjo, and some 4km from the Paquera ferry terminal. This village is known for its agriculture and cattle. In this area fruits that are exported to other countries are grown here such as the mango, papaya y the melon, it has tourist potential. Such as: Punta Cuchillo situated 2 kilometers from Puerto Paquera, it is a village that is dedicated to fishing, and here you can enjoy the beach and the mountains. Here you will be able to see Cedros and Jesusita Islands and if you want to visit them you can take a boat trip.  Punta Cuchillo has cabins, fish mongers, traditional dishes as well as a camping area, also offering a boat tour, horses and drinking water. 7 kilometers from Paquera is Órganos Beach, which is perfect for bathing. There is drinking water, bathrooms and a camping area, access is easy, you can go on foot or in any types of vehicle. It is surrounded with trees and some rocks; opposite the beach you will be able to see Tortuga Island, which is located only 15 minutes away by boat. 10 kms. From the center of Paquera, you will find the community of San Rafael with a river of the same name, an excellent place to take a walk along the footpaths.  The village of Valle Azul de Paquera is located 7 km away, an important place which serves as an entry for visitors to the beaches of : Blanca, Murciélago, Muertos, Ventana and Cocos, these are beaches with beautiful landscapes.

By Boat

Ferry Peninsular Ph (506) 2641-01187/ 641 0515/ 2661 8282, from Puntarenas to Paquera everyday 8:45 a.m, 2:00 p.m and 8:15 p.m, returning 6:00 a.m, 11:15 a.m and 6:00 p.m. The price for adults/ children and bicycles / motorcycles / a car with a driver is from 1, 5/ 1 and 1 / 3, 2/ 12 US$. The journey lasts and hour and a half.

Naviera Tambor Ph (506) 2661-2084, from Puntarenas 5:00 a.m, 12:30 p.m and 5:00 p.m, returning 08:00 a.m, 2:30 p.m and 8:30 p.m. The price for adults /children and bicycles / motorcycles / car with driver is 1, 5/ 1 and 1/ 3, 2 / 12 US$. The journey lasts an hour and a half.

By Bus and By Car

A bus takes passengers to the village of Paquera, and you can take it from the ferry terminal. The bus that goes to Montezuma charges 4 US$ and lasts 2 hours. The road between Paquera and the village of Cobano is paved. A 4X4 taxi from Paquera to Montezuma costs some 30 US$, and you can usually hail one when you get off the ferry. A 4X4 taxi to Naranjo Beach costs some 25 US$.
