Hermosa Beach

Hermosa Beach

Like its name Hermosa Beach is a natural place of great scenic beauty. Surrounded by hills with patches of tropical dry forest, the Pelonas Island and Montosa are located in this bay. It is 1600 meters long, with grey sands. Suitable for bathing and practicing water sports on its gentle waves. It is only 10 km to the north of the Coco Beach. It is accessible throughout the year. Hermosa Beach is a precious “U” shaped bay, protected by a pair of hills that are covered by the typical Guanacaste Mountains. The atmosphere is quieter than in the nearby Coco beach and the relaxed atmosphere of Hermosa Beach makes it an excellent place to be alone and feel at peace. Some kilometers from the coast you can find the Pelonas Islands, ideal to go snorkeling and scuba diving.
