Orosi Church and Museum

Orosi Church and Museum

The Religious Art Museum of San José de Orosi is located in what was once a convent of the Franciscan Fathers, next to the Colonial Church of Orosí, one of the oldest churches in Costa Rica, whose construction dates back to 1743. The museum opened its doors in 1980 and since then it offers visitors a complete panorama of the Catholic history of the place. This museum is divided into several rooms. It has paintings, a tomb and other objects and religious images of great ancient value, all this from the XVII  century. This place offers a beautiful view of the religious history of Costa Rica and the Orosi Valley.
